We commenced
airborne surveillance operations off the east coast of Canada in the
early 1980's. Our first clients were involved in the offshore oil
exploration industry operating in the ice-infested waters of the
harsh North Atlantic. Using only visual surveillance tools we
learned the importance of complete, timely and accurate
information.
Our desire and drive to improve the timeliness,
accuracy and completeness of surveillance information led us to
become the first private operator of X-band digital anti-submarine
warfare technology in the World in 1986. From there, we targeted
other potential domestic applications including fisheries and
pollution missions. We established our first of 3 long-term
contractual relationships with the Government of Canada in
1989.
